Picked one of these up off AliExpress for $29. Can't seem to find any programming software for it. Tried the Quansheng UV-K6 software but it didn't recognize the radio. Anyone using one?

Is there any way with either CHIRP or the stock windows uv-5r programming software to enter in these frequencies? A similar situation came up on the CHIRP mailing list recently. Here's what was said: The driver is almost certainly enforcing the rules the radio is *supposed* to respect, and can't tell that it's been modified.

The other reason I say this is that with CHIRP on the UV-17PRO setting, directly after hitting "OK" in the communicate with radio box, the radio will show "Program...." for 2-5 seconds, and then the software has a "No response from radio. Check connector and cabling".
