Assuming that the pdf is in the files app, locate the file, tap on it and then open the share sheet - the icon with the square and the up pointing arrow and tap on Messages. That will attach the file to a text message. Then type in the recipient name, etc, etc.
Missing attach option in Notes app on my iPhone My phone is up to date but my notes app does not have the paperclip so I can attach. The ability to attach is also not available via the clipboard. Please help! [Re-Titled by Moderator]
Paper clip icon (“Attach”) The paper clip icon disappeared. When I want to attach something to a text or email, the icon is not in its usual place and nowhere to be found. Can anyone help with this?

A simple way to attach an HEIC to email as JPEG? I currently store my photos in iCloud in HEIC format. While it may save space, I have to convert the HEIC image to a JPEG if I want to attach it to a computer generated email. Is there an easier way to get my HEIC images into an email?
The solution seems to be instead to use a different email app. At least using Outlook seems to work - and ONLY if you initiate sending the photos from the Photos app. If you start within Outlook and attach pictures, you end up with embedded pictures. Remains to be seen whether the same holds true if using other third-party email apps.
iOS has always embedded images in emails rather than attaching them as separate files when using the built-in Mail app. This behavior has remained consistent since the early days of the iPhone, including my experience starting with the iPhone 3GS in 2009.
