Forever dancing to their own beat – one step forward, two steps back – the Angels use the No. 2 overall pick to select the 18th-ranked prospect, UCSB right-hander Tyler Bremner.

The Angels selected LaCourse with the 169th overall pick in the 2025 draft. That slot comes with a $393,700 signing value, according to the MLB bonus pool, which assigns a dollar amount to each draft position for each team. Teams do not need to offer that amount but can not surpass their overall bonus pool total without penalty.

Tyler Bremner, who was selected No. 2 by the Halos on Sunday night, is the highest drafted player with a Canadian passport in history.
