Former Cincinnati Reds closer Alexis Diaz was outrighted by the Atlanta Braves earlier this week, according to MLB Trade Rumors. He was traded to the Dodgers earlier this season before being designated for assignment and being picked up by Atlanta.

As the rest of the remaining playoff teams battle for a World Series championship, the Reds will turn their attention to the offseason, with the goal of not only reaching the playoffs in 2026, but winning a series for the first time since 1995.

Greene didn't return from the dugout for the bottom of the fourth inning. Instead, reliever Scott Barlow entered from the visitors bullpen door in right field. So ended the much-anticipated postseason debut for Greene in his hometown.
