The New York Jets signed wide receiver Garrett Wilson to a four-year contract extension worth $130 million on Monday. The deal includes $90 million guaranteed. The Jets and Wilson's representation had been negotiating all offseason long. It's refreshing to see it get done ahead of training camp.

However, ESPN's Adam Schefter later broke the news that Wilson and the Jets have agreed to a four-year, $130 million deal, $90 million guaranteed, which puts to bed all the angst.

This was the logical next step after Schefter reported on April 21 that the Jets picked up Wilson's $16.8 million fifth-year option on his rookie deal for the 2026 campaign. They also did so with cornerback Sauce Gardner ($20.1 million) and defensive end Jermaine Johnson ($13.4 million), who, along with Wilson, were 2022 first-round draft picks.
