GM's Orion Assembly to build Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra in 2027
GM produces the Cadillac Escalade at Arlington Assembly in Texas and both the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado are made at Fort Wayne Assembly in Indiana. GM said the truck production slated to begin at Orion in 2027 will be in addition to truck production in Fort Wayne.

The $4 billion investment also includes expansion of the Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, and Spring Hill Manufacturing in Spring Hill, Tennessee. GM says the investment will allow the automaker to produce more than 2 million vehicles annually in the U.S.
The automaker says its Cadillac Escalade production will be moved from North Texas to a Michigan plant in early 2027.
