June 23 -16: Trump’s approval rating dipped one point, to 41%, in a Reuters/Ipsos survey of 1,139 U.S. adults taken June 21-23 from its June 11-16 survey, with 57% disapproving (the latest poll has a 3-point margin of error).
According to a survey by the pollsters, Trump's net approval rating is -17, a decline from the last time YouGov polled voters, when it was -11.
A The Economist / YouGov poll released on Tuesday found that 55% of Americans strongly or somewhat disapprove of Trump’s job performance — marking the highest disapproval level since the start of his second term. The poll, conducted from July 11 to July 14 among 1,680 U.S. adults, found that 41% strongly or somewhat approve of his performance.
It appears that the decline in Trump’s favorability since he took office in January is largely due to Democrats and independents. According to Economist/YouGov’s polls, the approval rating among Democrats was at 12% when Trump 2.0 began earlier this year. Today, only 3% approve of him.

Some 55 percent of Gen X voters approve of Trump while 45 percent disapprove, according to the CNN/SSRS poll. This means he has a net approval rating among this group of +10. The survey of 1,057 voters, sampled across different age groups, was conducted between July 10 and July 13, 2025. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.
