In addition to the cold front that will drop temperatures dramatically, the area is now expecting high-speed winds with gusts up to 50 miles per hour.
By 8pm New Year’s Eve night, most of the area will have temperatures in the 20s with communities in northeastern Siouxland in the teens. By midnight, temperatures will be in the teens and low 20s but it could feel like the single digits for some.

Wind chills will be colder in Oklahoma City, feeling in the teens Monday morning and rising into the 20s by Monday afternoon. The highest temperatures will be in western Oklahoma, as highs reach 44-46 degrees. The high in the Oklahoma City metro, however, will be 38 degrees.
