UPDATE: Coastal flood advisory for North Carolina for Friday, according to the NWS
On Thursday at 7:29 a.m. a coastal flood advisory was issued by the NWS Wilmington NC. The advisory is for Coastal Pender, Coastal New Hanover and Coastal Brunswick.
Coastal Flood Advisory issued for parts of Hampton Roads
In the midst of a drought, Hampton Roads is expected to get a good, soaking rainfall, and tidal flooding is expected for the high tide cycles Friday.

The NWS adds, "Affected areas listed are based on average tide conditions. Additional locations may experience flooding during periods of heavy rainfall, high winds, or other factors." "The lowest portions of Battleship Road and USS North Carolina Road observe minor coastal flooding of about one foot in depth.

An updated coastal flood warning was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC on Thursday at 8:09 a.m. valid from Friday 3 a.m. until Saturday 10 a.m.
