Venezuela has freed 10 Americans as part of a larger prisoner exchange for Venezuelan detainees released from El Salvador, the U.S. and Salvadoran governments said Friday.

A deal freed 10 Americans and permanent U.S. residents detained in Venezuela, for more than 250 Venezuelans imprisoned in El Salvador after expulsion from the U.S.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announces the release of 10 Americans who were detained in Venezuela, marking the return of all U.S. nationals previously held in the country.
