All eyes are currently on Florida as a tropical disturbance designated Invest 93L sits off the state's eastern coast and prepares to track westward over the next couple of days, according to National Hurricane Center forecasters.

We continue to follow the progress of Invest 93L, an area of low pressure that moved from the Atlantic across the northern Florida peninsula on Tuesday and is now scraping westward through the state’s panhandle along the northern Gulf Coast.

Invest 93L will move west through the end of the week bringing heavy tropical rains to the Northern Gulf Coast.Our Northwest Florida/Southwest Alabama area could see anywhere from 1-4" of rain with the heavy rain.

The disorganized disturbance we've tracked across North Florida is now trying to reform in the northeastern Gulf. The National Hurricane Center officially tagged the system Invest 93L.

The area of low pressure was just offshore the coast of Florida on July 15 and was becoming better organised, forecasters said.
