The Slovenian attacked on the final climb, distancing the rest of the race, arch-rival Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) included, in a move that looked as though it may have been not just stage-winning but Tour de France-winning as well. Pogačar now sits in yellow, 3:31 ahead of Vingegaard – a difficult margin to recoup for the Dane.

Tadej Pogačar had another dominant day at the Tour de France. Stage 13 was an uphill time trial that challenged riders to the fullest. Even though it was only 10.9km, the elevati
