Chicago police said the teen tried to rob a man at gunpoint, when the man pulled out a gun of his own and shot the teen.

A man, 27, was in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue when a 16-year-old boy approached him with a handgun and demanded his belongings, police said. The man then shot the teen with his own handgun.
