Despite the trade rumors surrounding Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James, it doesn't appear that he will be going anywhere before the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

The Athletic's Joe Vardon and Dan Woike broke new reporting on Wednesday morning, and it's this: "LeBron James hasn’t had buyout, trade discussions with Lakers, both sides expect that he will be with team for training camp."

There has been plenty of LeBron James trade speculation this summer, but could he still wind up retiring with the Lakers?
