Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence start-up xAI has apologized after its AI Chatbot Grok published a series of antisemitic messages on X.

Grok, the artificial-intelligence chatbot produced by Elon Musk -owned xAI, this week began posting antisemitic messages in response to user queries, drawing condemnation from Jewish advocacy groups and raising concern about the AI tool. The antisemitic posts -- some of which have been deleted -- are being addressed, Musk said on Wednesday.

A new Grok feature touches on the App Store’s rules for sexual content, which is something that Apple has shown it doesn’t mess around with.

Musk said an update to make Grok less politically correct instead made it susceptible to manipulation. The AI chatbot praised Hitler, attacked Jews.

Elon Musk said changes his xAI company made to Grok to be less politically correct had resulted in the chatbot being “too eager to please” and susceptible to being “manipulated.” That apparently led it to begin spewing out antisemitic and pro-Hitler comments on Musk’s X social platform Tuesday.

The Journal also reported that the Trump Administration is planning to issue an executive order promoting the export of AI chips made in the U.S., part of the government's effort to secure AI dominance over China. All eyes are on the White House for announcements expected next week.
