Former LSU football coach Nick Saban is rumored to be interested in returning to the coaching profession after retiring in early 2024, and current LSU football coach Brian Kelly is a fan of the idea.

Opening-game problems have become a symbol for LSU falling short. The 2025 opener against Clemson is a chance to "change the narrative."

LSU and Clemson not only share a mascot but also a nickname for both of their stadiums. Both Tiger Stadium and Memorial Stadium are two of the most intimidating environments in all of college football.

"We are in the best place that we've been in a number of years," Kelly told SiriusXM. "It's the first step. We're not at the end. I listen to some of our brothers over in the Big 12 complaining about where we are at. I was like, 'I don't think you should be complaining about anything.'"
