Prosecutors say they wanted to spare the families of four University of Idaho students killed in November 2022 by agreeing to a plea deal that would see the confessed killer avoid a possible death sentence.

The parents of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the four University of Idaho students stabbed to death in a Moscow home, spoke out about their frustrations over the lack of information on how their daughter died and the plea deal offered to Bryan Kohberger,

Bryan Kohberger committed the murders just before his license and registration expired, at which time he switched from being a Pennsylvania resident to a Washington resident
