Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison has spoken out about Kyrie Irving’s recovery and claimed the point guard is already "ahead of schedule."

According to odds from BovadaOfficial, the Dallas Mavericks now lead the pack with +125 odds to secure LeBron James.

The deal keeps the Mavericks’ vaunted frontcourt trio of Gafford, Dereck Lively II and Anthony Davis together for the foreseeable future.

The Dallas Mavericks only made one new addition to their roster during free agency. The Mavericks were left with a hole in the backcourt following Kyrie Irving's season-ending ACL tear in March. Irving re-signed with the franchise earlier this offseason but isn't expected to return to the court until the early stages of 2026.

But his situation with LeBron James in the Lakers is a bit different from what it was with the Mavericks. While he had Kyrie Irving, everybody knew that Doncic was the star, including Irving, who said multiple times that this was Doncic’s team.
