CBS News reported Wednesday that President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order establishing national standards for name, image and likeness initiatives. What that order would entail, and what Trump's vision for college athletics looks like, have been a relative mystery.

President Trump reportedly plans to issue an executive order focused on establishing NIL standards that could prove to be beneficial for many KU teams.

That could potentially change in the near future, courtesy of an executive order filed by President Trump. Front Office Sports reported on Wednesday that Trump is “actively working” on an NIL order, which is expected to either establish NCAA-friendly rules to limit the earning potential of players,
