Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs toured the destruction left by a wildfire along the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, on Saturday, surveying what she described as devastating damage.

Governor Hobbs visited the Dragon Bravo Fire on July 19, meeting with officials and gaining a firsthand look at the damage ahead of talks in D.C.

The blaze has charred more than 18 square miles, and as of Saturday it was 8% contained, fire information officer Stefan La-Sky said.
