An 18-wheeler carrying 408 beehives flipped on a narrow Texas road on Sunday after the driver took a wrong turn, releasing an estimated 24 million honeybees into a residential neighborhood. Emergency services shut down roads and told residents to stay indoors. Local beekeepers suited up and rushed to the scene to salvage what they could, but only about a quarter of the hives are expected to survive. It all depends on how many queens made it out alive.
