Today I was woken up by the involuntary movement of my third toe on my right foot. These are called involuntary contractions. It could be caused by many different things. It’s possible that this is a sign that my ALS is progressing. It could be that I do have a coexisting condition like a connective tissue disorder. It could be dystonia, neuropathy, a mitochondrial disorder or an autoimmune neurologic process. My rheumatologist here has referred me to Mayo Clinic. I will be going to their clinic
