Making some corespun yarn on the @spinperfect Icon electric spinner. Mike Pauly has developed something he calls “American tension” (opposed to bobbin-led (Irish), flyer-led (scotch), and double-drive and I have to admit I’m not sure how it works but it does indeed work! It’s a 3-d printed spinner for a very affordable price (starts at $350 for the whole thing). I’ll definitely be playing with it some more! I’m really interested in how the tensioning system works! Carded some oranges/reds/browns together from my scrap basket, core spun it with a thread autowrap into a thick and thin yarn (on my @daedalusspinningwheels Starling, spiral plied it at a steep angle, and voila!
