Today, our pupils had the privilege of visiting the Poppy Festival of Remembrance and Reflection at Dungannon Presbyterian Church. It was an experience that was beautifully presented, deeply thought-provoking and rich with meaning. As we walked among the poppies, each display told a different story. Remembrance Day On Friday, the children have been learnt about the meaning of Remembrance Day. They have taken part in a variety of activities such as painting their own poppies, making poppy biscuits and creating poppies in the playdough. The children have also watched a short video and read the book “Bertie’s Poppy”.
