Battle of Midway - World of Warships During the Battle of Midway, four Japanese aircraft carriers (Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, and Hiryu) and one American aircraft carrier (USS Yorktown) participated and were lost. The Japanese lost all four of their participating carriers, which was a decisive turning point in the Pacific War.
