Cody Roberts, the man accused of torturing and killing a wolf in Wyoming, was charged with felony animal cruelty in August. Next week, a judge is set to hear arguments on whether the charge should be dismissed, after Robert’s attorney filed a motion challenging the case. More than 290,000 people have signed a petition calling for Roberts to be held criminally accountable, arguing that animal abuse is a serious issue that often goes unpunished.
